INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY WITH UVW,

1st May is International Workers’ Day*!

UVW calls on all our members, friends and comrades, to join us in a day of action and celebration.

1st May is our day – born from struggle and joyful resistance. It’s a time to honour the workers who have fought for rights we have today: the 8-hour day, a minimum wage, and an end to child labour and health and safety regulations.

Join us on the May day march and after come and celebrate at UVW casa with some BBQ, drinks and listen to striking workers!

*On the 1st May 1886, workers in Chicago went on strike to demand an 8-hour workday. Several unarmed workers were killed by the police.
